same inlet and exhaust as 9A engine:

inlet: 027 109 021 AL (milder than KR)
    exhasut: 027 109 022 G (same for KR,9A,6A)

KR cams are a good compromise IMO, spend the money elsewhere :)

You can use the exhaust cam as an inlet cam if you remachine the chain wheel but it's not worth it, the KR cams are just fine IMO.

I have no proof but I think Vince at Stealth says it's a good mod on a 1.8 but pointless on a 2.0 as you have the torque already, it's part of the 2.0 head design.

Also heard rumours it can make your idle a bit lumpy and other such problems.

I'm with Joe on this. The KR cams in a 2.0 are just fine.

If you still want more power after fitting KR cams then a gas flowed head is the best route.

Ideally you want a better flowing head to make the most from cams, but Keithmac has got good results (+10bhp) from using Kent 1602r's in a standard KR ;)

One day I'll get round to getting a head flowed and try some Newman grinds based on Schrick split durations.....

I've been saying that the last 2 years mind

i have a ported head already which im going to fit whats your thoughts on newman was speaking about these today and it was pointed out that you cant make a high lift cam from a cam that aint already a highlift one ;) so they say they are based on a schrick but they aint really got the same lift and duration

    I've looked into it ;)

This is from David Newman himself

I can Grind your Cams to the Split Timings you require however I can only obtain .405 Lift on a Regrind which should be more than adequate for the use we discussed as most over the Shrick profile are quite radical on lift and they give a heavy tickover.

    Regards David Newman

KR cams lift is 9.6mm -, the Newmans re-grind will give 10.2mm (pukka Schricks 0.453" 11.5mm)

what about regrinding the old cams that came out of your 9A? (or my 6A to be more honest ;)) i imagine it'll be the same.
