Okay, so the otherday I was reading about this on the net and today I decided to try it out :p

Take one ice-cream tub a couple of teaspoons of soda crystals and fill it with water, a car battery charger and a lump of iron for an electrode.

Connect the positive clamp of charger to the lump of iron and the negative to the thing you want to get the rust off, in my case an injector.

I put a lump of blu tack in the end of injector that was in the solution, the nozzle end is up out of it.

    Some pics, the start

    20 minutes on

    An hour

I left it in a further hour and then took it out, gave it a rinse and put it in the oven on a low heat for 10 minutes to dry out.

    After

    Seems to have worked [:D]

Wether the injectors will work again though is another matter

How about using a swimming pool instead of a ice crema tub and just doing the whole car at once?

    Looks good though mate!

    hmmm... that'd be an idea,
then after you get all the rust off, you can plate the body in gold so you never have to worry about rust again! that and BLING BLING

i was gonna say: it works better if they're closer together, but from the sequence of your photos it looks like you worked that out...

Do the actual clamps have to be out of the water-i.e. only the object and iron lump is touching the water physically?

Clamps out the water otherwise they'll get eaten away.
