Hi guys. I'm swapping my 16v from a 1.8 to a 2 litre 9a. I'm in the process of swapping the ancillaries over and the oil breather assembly doesn't fit, not even close. I've had a quick look on tinternet and I can buy a used 9a one (metal) for about £50 or I can get a brand new plastic one for about a tenner which comes with rubber seals etc which the used ones don't.
Am I looking at the right things and are the plastic ones any good?
    Cheers

Just had a look @ my old KR engine in the shed and it has a metal one,my ABF has the plastic one which I think is differant however it lined up with all the KR breather hoses as I'am running k-jet from the KR motor.
Seems strange and maybe a 9a (or 2 litre block ) thing but know little about these motors as we never got them here,if the plastic one works for yo they are fine.
    Others will chime in hopefully,cheers.

the metal (early) and plastic (late) breathers are different fitment, you'll also note late blocks have different oil filter housing. just look for early KR breather assy
