ABF engine(in mk2) lambda sensor

    Can i remove the remove the lambda and drive without it , any pros and cons .
    Nowadays its hard to find lambda sensor (only universal ) .

    it'll run ok without the lambda so fine to do short term. it will run better with it though so no advantage doing this long term.

    on my mk2 abf conversion i didnt fit the lambda right away as I was fed up of crawling around under the car. it sailed thru mot and drove perfectly fine for a week or so till I gathered the required amount of bothered to fit it. once fitted I noticed the car felt that little bit smoother, wasnt night and day but enough to tell the difference.

    I'd only use genuine bosch lambda, have had issues with cheaper brands in the past. you can use a bosch universal lambda LS03 though, can sometimes find a bargain on ebay. does mean you need a donor lambda to chop the plug off though.
