    Hi Guys,

I am sure this has been asked a thousand times but I couldn't seem to find the answer using the search.

Can anyone tell me the compression specs for an AGG and if you could be so kind to method for testing on these engines?

    Thanks

Iirc , the AGG is slightly lower compression than some of the other 2.0 8v cars.
AGG is around 9.6:1 , 2e / Ady are 10:1 or possibly slightly more.
The AGG I measured had a 5.7 mm bowl in the piston crown, and Piston catalogues showed the 2e and Ady at 5.0 bowl.
    Bigger bowl = less compression.

The last one I built, Ady pistons were very expensive, but I had cheap access to machining, so I decked the pistons and the block to bump up the compression. You need to take care to reprofile the squish area after.

The only way to be certain is to have the head off and measure with a burette .

There's an old thread here somewhere in the 8v section explaining it all.
