    Hi All
Been investigating, rumbling noise from engine, and think it may be aircon compressor. Anyway, I had a good root around and discovered the two rear bolts that hold compressor are missing (which also explains why I have so much trouble tensioning alternator belt) it looks like in the past someone has sheared them off as I cant poke a small file down the holes. So my question is, is the bracket unique to air con cars? Does anyone know?
    Thanks Joe

    what engine is it?

probably the best bet is remove the compressor leaving pipes attached and swing it out the way, then you can see whats going on more clearly

KR Jonny. Had a look at pics if bracket on ebay, and it looks like same bracket. The pic shows two sets of holes. I guess one for compressor, then alternator ones above. I will strip it down after Christmas
