Is that not corex? Looks like it to me. Ok door card material but i wouldn't use it as a splitter, It would just fold uplol
Cuts like butter on a CNC though[:D]

Yes it is but if you cross laminate it it's rock solid two or three layers thick
At 3 layers thick it's only 3 kgs per square meter

Also it's heavy grade corex not thin rubbish lol industrial ;)

Just had another thought I've got a hot glue gun that I bought black glue sticks for you could shape the edges with that to make it tidy

Mike, would you not run your splitter under the engine a little? Most plastics on the car don't get that close to the engine

Funny you should mention foamex again. Has anyone looked at the material properties of it? It's made from PVC which emits hydrochloric acid when burned. Very bad for you and have heard some horror stories over the last few months. I have just bought a laser cutter so am reading up on plastic properties at the moment. You should have seen the flame i had off polycarblol:o

I would be tempted to use a bit of 3mm polyprop embossed. Would weigh less than 3kg each and have a nice finish on the face and edges. But then i did spend 150 on carbon fibre cardslol

It's not as rigid as this stuff and PVC gives off noxious fumes when burning polypropylene doesn't just smells like candles lol

Mine are knackered, and I can't be bothered trying to find a decent pair. I refuse to do aluminium as that's heavier, and carbon is daft money.
    This seems a good compromise.
