Hope I'm posting this in the right place!

So I'm about 12 weeks away from delivery, really looking forward to the new car BUT I don't think I like the idea of something that puts fake engine noise into the cabin. Rather than physically ripping the thing out, has anyone here managed to switch this off remotely via VCDS? Any experts you can recommend in the Berks//Bucks area?

Many thanks in advance for any advice

Quit a few links on the net and it looks very easy to turn the volume down so you can't hear it

    Thanks mate
Expecting a call from the dealer next week to hopefully confirm arrival date, will see if there's anything they can do - having had another look around it seems that a few people have done it with golf Rs but dealers not always clued up

    update

spoke to dealer yesterday and he gave me the impression that it wouldn't be a problem for them to get the aktuator turned off :)
not heard the sound it makes tbf, but will be glad to know that any of the noises I hear will be real

is it not like the golf R, it's only really noticeable when you put it in race mode, I can't hear it in ECO (not that it's ever in that mode) or normal. Does the Polo have a mode option?
