Blower and wiper not working on 99 gti vr6 golf. fuse 4,5,6 not getting power. Which relay would I change?
no it isnt. or at least, it shouldnt be 17/18/100 is the x-relief relay, which powers the wiper motor, blower motor and various other electrics. if you use one as a fuel relay it wont cut out if you crash so is dangerous! Its a common test to swap the x-relief relay into the fuel relay socket to check fuel pump and wiring to it, while doing diagnostics on fuel system or to bypass an issue with the fuel relay trigger so this could be a clue. vr6 should have a 67, 80 or 167 fuel relay in slot 12, and the 17/18/100 x-relief relay should be in slot 4: https://clubgti.com/forums/index.php?threads/fusebox-faq.219775
