    Hi Bill,

Been looking at switching to the Brembo brake set up for my Mk2 VR. I can hopefully get the calipers, brackets, bolts and pipes from a friend (he's maybe goign even bigger) , but will require new disks and Pads.

Do you still sell these, and if so is there anything in particular you would suggest to use as it is heading towards more Track use but still with some road use.

Prices and availability etc would be appriciated.

    TIA.

I`d recommend Ferodo DS2500 pads, which Bill does.

Bill, ta for showing us the various brake set ups last night, I will need some in the near future

Just a question of do I go for bigger wheels and have no worries about clearance, or stick to 15s for cheap tyres and use spacers on teh front, which I'm not overly happy about due to scrub radius changes.

You said you had some TD pro race 15s that you couldn't use any more , would you sell them?

    Hi Bill,

Sorry to bump an old thread but can you price out a complete Brembo kit for a MK2 Golf running 4-stud?

Basically looking for the same setup as fitted to Leon Cupra R but will need everything, eg calipers, carriers, brake hose (braided please), bolts, Ferodo DS2500 pads and grooved discs. The elliptical ones, if you do them in that size (323mm?).

    Thanks

LCR ones will not be possible on a 4 stud golf.. 5x100 323x28 disks with totally the wrong offset

305x28 setup with brembo gt junior calipers is 840+vat and needs 16" minimum wheel diameter and 38mm caliper clearance from wheels hub face to rear of wheel spoke
eliptical can be added for 50 more.

    regards
    bill

Bill, is the 305 setup the one that was fitted to Ibiza Cupra's as standard? Looking for something as OE/direct fit as possible, part numbers would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

essentially 305x28 setup is what the ibiza cupra-r came with yes..
i dont have part numbers, as I make some of the parts up myself.
(cheaper than oe, and better quality)

    Hi Bill,

Can I trouble you to help me with filling out this chart? It's for the Brembo GT Junior kit, I need to see if the wheels I have will clear.

your dimension A will need to be <50mm to clear the 5x100 323x28 brembo gt junior kit, or >38mm if the 305x28, 4x100 kit

    Hi Bill,

Sorry to bump this thread again....

Can you still supply eliptically grooved 280x22mm Brembo discs for a late spec (1990) 4x100 Mk2 Gti? I'm now running Audi S2 (Girling 60) brake calipers and carriers and would like to refresh the discs from my existing 280mm items (I was previously running the G60 variant Girling 54 calipers over these).

Also - what sort of pad options do I have other than OEM and EBC Yellowstuff with the Girling 60 calipers? Ferodo don't appear to do DS2500s in the correct fitment.

    Thanks!!

    Thanks for the info Bill.

Are the discs you have eliptically grooved the 4x100 Seat Ibiza Cupra items? Are they one or two piece? I'm intending to use on track, so am keen to get something fairly durable.

I assume we're talking significantly more then LOL!!

I'm also looking at Brembo Max 280x22mm, available from various providers. How do these compare to the eliptically grooved items you supply?
