I'm back at work today and Holty just has to put the front lintel on and build the pike (triangle bit).

Squatters are making themselves at home

    Child labour, nice and cheap

WOW! wish my garage was this nice, it's just a cattle shed at the moment, with lots of draughts and leaks!

First thing I told her would happen once the door was on!!!!

Might change though when she realises I'm over budget

    154 on concrete mesh
    450 on concrete
    25 on a window
    180 on lintels
    360 on blocks
    107 on bricks
    600 on labour

Still has no roof or doors, oh dear. Might have a beer and a **** on my own lol

Thanks, it looked quite small at first but as the walls went up it seemed to look longer and wider.

You going to do out the inside all clean hygienic style? been meaning to get my floor painted in my rented shed but prices seem extortionate! But no point half assing yours as it's your own and you will kill yourself over it afterwards when it comes to working in there over winter

I think white walls and a grey floor. Also thiniking of a partition wall to keep the shed stuff away from my car. Wouldn't mind a small tool cupboard and car in the main bit and all the **** in the back lol

Cheers, hope it looks big once all the craps in it.

I just got a quote for the roof trusses', ready made ones x 15 came in at 480 with the vat. I was hoping for about 350 TBH so i'll have a ring round tomorow.

My uncle was round as well and we spoke about the roof, he said if I put a purlin in myself it wouldn't have to be massive because the diagonals will hold it up.

Might be a cheaper and better way to do the roof??????

For **** sake!!! I just fitted the window I bought (found on e-bay, purchased outside of ebay) and found the beadings he gave me are wrong.

I've e-mailed him to ask if he still has them but its been a few weeks. The garage was built to suit the window so I will be inlikely to find another the same size. Suppose i could bond them in with sikaflex :(

I painted the outside wall red thinking it would look more like the house, it actually looks crap. I'm hoping by the time the roof and door are on and a few plant pots are up against it it might look better
