Finished work early today and managed to finish putting the lats on, it's pretty much water tight now!!! I just need to screw the facias on and I'll be able to tile it.

Need to sort a main door soon.

Fantastic. You must be proud of having done loads of it yourself. It's fun when it's all done and you can start setting the inside up and begin using it.

Yeah I saw he made really quick progress of the walls. It's good how you project managed it all yourself and arranged your own tradesmen. I think we'll try to do that when we get an extension done.

    Thanks everyone.

No plans to heat it, I might look out for kingspan on e-bay and try and pack the rafters with 50/75mm of insulation.

you'll be just as well wiring them in ian that way you can have two light switchs one at each door
strip lights are cheap it was the first thing i did once the builders left
painting walls white inside that makes a big difference to the light you have
are the walls damp or are they still drying out
i had this till the harling went on the out side of mine

When it rains the water runs off the roof, lands on the fence and splashes back onto the wall. Some of it comes through. I need to paint the outside wall and get the guttering on.

Looks good Ian. Only just caught up on this. When I moved into the new house I replaced the ceiling light with 3x 6ft strips and also painted the walls with magnolia masonry paint and the floor with Ronseal diamond hard floor paint. All looks good so far. The floor paint hasn't lifted at all. I vacuumed it multiple times, mopped it twice the painted a diluted coat before 2x additional coats.

Ahh. It just looked that way, as I wasn't in the pics. LOL While she painted one breeze block column, I coated the entire wall twice. Yeah, I'm going to board it out eventually.

Feel sorry for you with mostly breeze block walls though.
