Cheap ? You can buy a whole car that will last you a year for less than that. Sorry, thread hijack. Edit ... I like the 10G aluminium tank. Edited by: superden
I don't understand using those top mounts, by rotating them to adjust the camber the castor is effected and vice-versa
they look like TAS motorsport ones to me, but not the TAS0624G's that you need for a mk2...... the bearings in them are utter crap, they start clunking after about a month, replace them with aurora ones before fitting. dial in a bit of extra castor, say hello to insane turn in. no more wearing out the outside edges of your tyres if yo do a lot of trackdays.
I've always thought this. Doesn't Ian, I V - mk1 16v run the Rallydesign ones? Here They're practically identical. Phatty, haven't TAS gone under? Sean Edited by: seanlazyass
Erm, this stuff all looks far too familar... Based in Preston..., post code PR5 Recently incorporated company Never heard of them, making stacks of kit we didn't know was there. My money's on this company having risen out of the liquidation/CVL ashes of Trans Auto Sport (TAS) [who were based in PR5), or having been their component manufacturer. There's also a VW tuner selling a few products from this range I think.
Oh, and note the 25% handling fee on returned goods. Strikes me the accountants have been mega busy restructuring this one to make sure it turns a profit.
So were can you get proper adjustable top mounts from? ie. Camber and castor being adjustable separately? Cheers, Sean Edited by: seanlazyass
Ground Control in the USA, but price reflects. TBH there's nothing wrong with the eccentric top mounts - many race cars run them, so don't be put off by the inherent compromise.
Before purchasing them I'd like to know roughly what the castor would be when say running -2 deg camber on a mk2. Don't suppose anyone knows? Whats the standard castor on a mk2? Cheers, Sean
