    Hi guys!

Great to see a few of you yesterday! I'm gutted that things worked against me and yet again I've ended up without a working car, but it was still good fun to come and say hello despite the weather!

Thanks to Mowgli for letting me have a drive in the mx5, apologies for being utterly awful lol

Very impressed with Lukes Leon, a stupidly capable car straight from the factory, made even better with a few choice mods. Very cool!

I'm looking forward to getting the A3 back together and getting back to an event either later this year or the first one next year!

Do you guys ever do track/circuit days as a collective?

Great day out as always, despite the weather. It was really interesting exploring the limits in the wet.
I'll upload some videos when I get a chance, including my lovely pirouette in to the Mole Hill. lol

Thanks for such a well spent day.

    First of all.

Many thanks to those participants that came out on Sunday. Without you there would have been no event.

Many thanks for the new folks that stepped forward to volenteer rain or shine at the event who were:

Guy, Charlotte, Matt, previous staff Jon P, Rigs, Rich and Tyanneous. Trevor page was also working with us behind the scenes but could not be there.

Those folk all worked like a fine tuned system before the event started.

Congratulations to the top 3 fastest guys:

Luke S in his Leon Cupra 280 in first place.

Sparrow in his Ex VW Cup Golf Mk2 16VT in second place.

Pascall77uk with guest driver D Turner of TRD in third place with his 1.8 16v ITB'd MK1.

Good to see RobT and his family, Prawn and his family at the event as spectators.
I also saw racer Tim Moll ( was recently injured) pop down with Dave Vardy for a look.
Sambo to putting his drag car together just to be there

Yes there was some bad weather in the evening and I decided to call it a day at 3 pm.

Regardless it was an excellent day with a good mix of fast old school and the latest and modern fast hatchbacks

Mk1 GTI to MK7 GTI ED40 were well represented.

If you wish to share pictures of the event elsewhere, please help to strengthen our presence in the community by remembering to mention this was a Club GTI event. It will help with filling the next event.

A big thank you for supporting the event.

Guy and Charlotte are going through the data and I will be in touch with a rank order update on here, once all participants have a copy of the results for their own use.

The next Curby event is August the 28th bank holiday Monday
