    Hey Guys,

I have a problem with my 1.6 driver with a 2e2 carb on it. When it's cold outside the car will turn on straight away no problem but then the idle will slowly work up to 2500/3000rpm and sit the until the engine is warm, then it will drop back down to a reasonable rev range. As far as I can see the 3/4 point unit doesn't retract until warm. If I push it in my self then the revs drop. It then springs back out again when I let go and the revs jump back up. This in turn causes over run and it struggling to turn back on after a short drive with out the help of some accelerator as it's turning over. I have have changed all the vacuum lines, the inlet manifold O ring, the carb mounting bracket. The Waxstat seems to working well. What would be next to check?

Thanks for the help, it is much appreciated.
