Just wondering what the thoughts on using a 9n(3) polo gearbox with a 1.8t conversion, something like a 1.9tdi sport or the bluemotion one?
    Think o2k or o2r type?
Will golf driveshafts fit, and the gearchange off polo or mk4 etc?
Suppose a mk3 tdi flywheel and clutch would be an option too.
    Cheers DD

Diesel gearboxes and gear ratios are great, if you have mega torque and wish to drag race the car without having to change too many gears.
Otherwise not that great for road car acceleration.

Choose your gear ratios wisely, sitting down with a fairly accurate representation of your engine's torque output, to determine the acceleration in each gear and maximum speed in gears, then to relate to your perception.

Thanks, might be worth saving it for a pd conversion instead, long legged for the trips south maybe.
Any ideas on the driveshaft compatibility with the polo boxes?
