Im about to buy a mk4 as a run around but I’d like to know what engine it has before I go see it. I’ve tried to decode the vin but all the sites want me to pay to decode it.

    The vin is: Wvwzzz1jzxp066615

If there’s anyone that can find the engine code from that I’d really appreciate it

    Cheers

    I’m after the PD130. I’ve found out that it’s a pre PD 110

You cant get engine code from the VIN easily, if at all. Local VW dealer or VW UK should be able to, but whether they will or not is the question

its printed on the sticker in the boot and the inside cover of the service manual, plus on the barcode on top of the cambelt cover so not hard to get from the seller
