    Hi guys

I picked this engine up a few weeks ago and it was covered in shiz. After a deep clean I have noticed the below (note I did notice the sump spooge when I first saw it). Does anyone know if this is going to cause a problem re; oil or coolant (notwithstanding - the issue of securing the sump)

if its one of the sump threads it wouldnt cause any issues except for the sump as you say, as long as theres enough thread left for the bolt to bite you're ok though. someone has used a bolt which is too long so make sure you get the right size bolts to match the sump and gasket
