Evening all, I’ve had this sitting in a corner of the garage for a few years now but finally popped it on the engine stand now the ABF is in my MK2.

Part number on the block: 026103021B
    Pistons: 82.485

It’s got a TSR Number written on it but also a PB number. I got it with a Schrick 01401 76000 cam and a head with G M Sport stamped on it and T Betts stamped below that (also date stamped 03/98).

    Head Part Number: 026 103 373F

So.......where can I find out more about these parts? Worth rebuilding? Is this a ‘set’ or just a random collection of parts that may not work together?

    Thanks in advance!

    Pete.

Sounds like a mix and match? My TSR has TSR head stamped on the end, and a serial number. same for the block.
The TSR cams are usually stamped TSR 203 or similar on the end iirc.

Also, if it's a 1.8 block with those pistons, it's been extensively overbored to make a 1.9.
    Which is pretty sweet.

Thanks Tristan, the cam def. isn’t TSR then, head is a little more confusing. I’ll get some pics uploaded, that might help.

Thanks for your help so far!

My TSR 1900 has 83mm pistons in.

Could it be a bubble block 3a? I don’t know blocks by vw codes, as they had a habit of mixing them.
