that is a bit much, I've 3 insured with them for less and that included a highly modified mk1 [:s]

looks like a multi car policy is their main use for us!

yes there are good but , what about all these who bought online cover and footman james wont allow to re quote or insure them ,(now have to go onto the open market for find insurance else were), because of there own mistake by sending wrong quotes out online (notice they have been removed), as my friends was one of them ,
everyone who insured with these via telephone will be fine ,

Looks to me like it's worth having a couple of old bangers registered in your name just to get a multi-car policy on the track toy ;)

Just for the avoidance of doubt, all the cars I have on my policy are real, and runners, although one of them is out of MOT at the minute.

they don't do multi car policy ! and my insurance is due on 2 of my 3 some , might as well try them for a quote on all three

Just got a quote on the Golf with Footman James.
I had to ask the guy to repeat the quote, as I was so shocked - it was only 170ish with all mods decleared on unlimited mileage on fully comp.
    Also includes breakdown cover!
Adrian Flux quoted 250ish on 3rd party f&t.

Yeah, cheers Chris for setting this up.
Looks like the offices decided to close earlier, so I have to wait til they open to take out the insurance.
    Its a great saving though.

Going to a multicar policy is going to be difficult for me because 1 is in January and the other in April.

I'll give them a call and see what they can do.

    EDIT:

The office was closed an the online quote gave me a figure of 1114.96 for my Alhambra. Thats not bad, my remual was only a bit cheaper at 372 [:s]

There is no CGTI on the club list either.

I just quote my membership number at renewal time and they knock off I think it's 10%

Looks like they've not updated the list yet!

think the main benefit for us, as a club (and the better discounts they're seeming to want give) are the multi car with couple of classics
looks like the sort of business they don't want like many companies, is to over price!

but I'm no insurance sales man!! [:s]

Or they just say that they do not like the idea of me having two sets of wheels for the car! They would not quote me as I change my wheels from time to time and the underwriter would not touch it

I did say they were winter and summer wheels, probably quite common for a classic car owner - so then they said the modifications were to much, seems they don't like track cars.

insured my mk2 with FJ its only a 1.3 and not really used at the moment but like to keep it insured in case of toerags, only 90.00 a year fully comp with no no claims, just hope i can still get insurance with them with the 20vt in place, although heritage insurance will insure it with 20vt for 450.00

954 for my standard 1.9tdi passat w/ 8years ncb. not incluing discount of course as its not on the list. But apparently thats the only price they can offer me, even as a member. Not impressed :| i had high hopes for this.

    EDIT:
They actually sounded completely uninterested in me being a club gti member, and they wont cover the golf at all.

Ace, 299 to insure the Audi, the cheapest by 150! Although the online quote doesn't seem to have Club GTI as an option so that's without any club discount...

    272 after club discount.

...Which is a sod since I bought it this morning, then read my e-mails this evening and discovered one of the compare type sites I filled in (for classics) has come back with 222 [><]
