I want to change the blow off valve on the car to something that will add the "dump valve" noise but I want told that it also involves software upgrade as well. The car is stock from fty (KO3s turbo), can anyone advise on how to do this & want are the cost implications
Vehicles that run a mass air flow sensor, should not run a blow off valve. Why? Because the the dumped measured air is not accounted for injection and can cause the engine to run excessively rich for a moment. Vehicles that can run a dump valve, are those that use a MAP sensor.
