Cheers for the reply buddy, it's always useful to have reliable info on the same chassis with a similar setup!

Nice work on the footage too, I can't wait to get mine going again and get that sound back in my life.

After a little trial last night jacking the current wheel setup into the front arch it looks like I'm going to have clearance issues with the original (completely rotten) arches. I'm running et32 17x7.5 Audi S3 wheels and an old set of AD08's in 204/45 (so very similar to you) as I already had them lying around and they're about the only wheels I KNOW will clear the Porsche brakes I'm attempting to make work on this chassis. The problem is I ideally need to space the whole brake assembly outboard so that the disc clears the annoyingly angled VR6 lower ball joint [:x]

To add to the issues, after fitting the caster bushes to the rear wishbone mounts it moves the wheel forward enough to close the clearance to the arch/bumper even more. Ideally to give the disc decent clearance and make everything easier I'll need 6mm spacers behind the discs and remove the 6mm carrier spacers (carriers designed for mk4 chassis) moving it all out 6mm and giving a final front ET of 26 (!).

Long story over I think I'm going to have to go for a set of the Iztech wings sooner rather than later to make this setup work for the moment. When funds allow I can go searching for a lower ET rim that'll clear the brakes and bring the scrub radius back into line. I'll try and get round to stating a thread on this at long last in the near future...

Anywho, circling around to the point; did your arches come with the indicator cut outs or was that done by you/someone else?

Sounds like a head ache mate!

The holes were already in my wings for the indicators.

Yea will be a shame to see Rockingham go but I always found it souless. Spent up to 5 days there at a time and it was just like living in a ghost town.

Love this photo of your car. Looking great !

Yeah, it is a big cold place built for an audience that never came.

Happy with the car, how’s yours going?

What was that guy in the caterfield doing?! The line choices and breaking points are baffling but I've never understood the macho bullsh*t arrogance of people who will not get out of the way when they've been caught up. That and if they do move over they then keep it pinned meaning you can't actually get past safely.

Anywho, rant over, the car looks like mint and it's looks like it's going really well, good work!

We've finally moved up to the Midlands so I've been flat out on the house and trying to get the double (woohoo!) garage sorted to crack on with mine over the winter at long last. The welder turned up this week too. I might actually get round to starting that build thread I've been on about for ages...

I'm looking forward to progress on Michael's too (mmm...itbs). Here's to having all three together at some point hopefully.

I know, I was enjoying the chase but was also running out of fuel! So as much as I wanted to keep him under pressure I also didn’t want to be the one to cause a red fla for having no fuel lol
