Cheers for the heads up Gary. All his shows have been superb so far, and I'm sure this one won't be any different.
I love him and his funny accent. Great guy. Thanks, Gary - I would probably have missed it if you hadn't said
Enjoyed that, few references to his sponsors Orange and Hope on there.. lol Would have thought it'd been better on a hard surface than the sands for the record attempt, but obviously Bruntingthorpe not long enough!
It was good - you have to admire his courage, don't you? Or perhaps it is foolhardiness? When I used to ride my motorbike, slipstreaming like that used to scare the life out of me. I always felt it pulled you into, as well as forward, the vehicle that was passing.
Eyup well I guess this isn't a bad place for a first post on here I liked the last quote, something along the lines of: 'not bad for a few idiots in a shed'
I can't believe he did it on sand either, if you've ever ridden a bike on sand it takes a lot more effort than tarmac!. Should have borrowed VW's 5 mile straight where they do the top speed runs, I'm sure he'd of cracked 120mph!.
Looks like Guy Martin's over in USA for Pikes Peak using the Turbo'd Martek bike he's had a few years. Testing at Cadwell. Pics from https://www.facebook.com/GuyMartinRacing?fref=ts & https://www.facebook.com/MetzelerUK?fref=photo Hmmm..wonder if this will be part of another 'TV job' ?
Ive been up that mountain and anyone that goes up there at full speed has massive balls. Anyone thats doing it on a bike phyisically shouldnt be able to ride as there balls are even bigger!! The top part is mental.
GM leading his class but a way off the other bikes. http://livetiming.net/ppihc/?Class=PPC-UTV_Exhibition Top 30 bikes
