Hi all, I was reading on how to replace the cabriolet hood but somewhere I can't remember where the the padding should be put in a water proof bag, is this correct and if so where can it be purchased from the material. Thanks in advance.

Carl Chorley on FB makes these bags, trust me just get one from him. I made my own before I knew this and thats severl hours I wont get back! the roof hood material should keep the worst of the water out though, if the material is sopping wet it may have gone pourus. on mine there was a real sewn seam down both sides and the inner patch glued on the inside to seal this seam had become unglued. on the new roof I replaced it with the seam was fake so no leakage possible

Hi rubjonny, I have the leatherette sides still on the padding if I was to put the ripstop material on top and just glue it would that be ok or not. It's just that am struggling at moment financially but this is something I want to keep. I only read this after I took the top layer of to replace it so now just want to make it water proof.
