seen that before on quite a lot of racing valvers - water enters the head from the block and leaves via the port on the end near the dizzy rather than through the front - sounds a bit iffy to me but I have seen it quite a few times on race engines

this did make me laugh at the time, I think it was an attempt to quieten the intake, but he'd effectively made a Bass box for them

    looked nicely done though

quick question - it looks to me like most these setups would be drawing in hot air from the rad? doesn't this effect performance quite a bit?

At the extremes, yes, but there's no need to be massively worried for road conversions. A bit of air deflection downwards is what people generally try to create.

This thread definately contains throttle body porn... It's making me think when I rebuild my KR 16V I should go the ITB's route rather than my original idea of going the turbo route. Whichever I go for I'll be using Megasquirt to control it.

I notice quite alot of the ITB's have the injector's in different places, does inject position make alot of difference to the performance of the ITB's?

The closer the injector is to the head, the more responsive the throttle response

Am I right in thinking that ITB's on turbo'd cars are a don't really work or aren't needed?
