Hello all, I need to gey my Mk2 Golf into position to work on, ideally I want to jack the rear on the centre of the beam and pull it round.

Whats the possibility of damaging / bending the beam and has anyone else tried it?.

    Cheers, Keith.

I regularly do it but like others have said you run the risk of bending the beam. I was thinking of making a bracket to spread the load across the beam using some steel C section which the beam could also sit in preventing the jack from slipping. Anything to spread the load should massively reduce the risk of damage.
