K jet fuel pump accumulator delete

    Wondering if anyone has done this and any problems.im running a vr in my mk2 golf with a charger going on as we speak.fuelling ive looked at mk3 tank but now against that as ive came across an old k jet fuel pump assembly i had stored in my man cave.pulled it out and the swirl pot and pump etc all looks fine the accumulator in a bad way so can i delete the accumulator get new banjos and tails made up for the pump and filter and do away with the accumulator? Im sure it only assists the k jet on starts.any help appreciated.

    Don't see why not!

    The VWMS set-up does not use one.
    On the VWMS cars the warm-up regulator is thrown away and the 4th injector is wired to a push-button switch on the dash.
    So the 4th injector is used like an electric choke!

    Push the button and spin the starter!

    Thanks for the reply. Time to bin the accumulator then and now just refurb the pump/swirl pot

    you dont need these items for the digi injection systems so delete away, as you say its there for the kjet to help maintain residual pressure for warm starts and maybe to smooth out fuel flow/

    just need M12x1.5 -> 7/8mm barbed adaptor for the pump and away you go :)

    Ordered as we speak.[emoji106] if i have problems later on with the oe pump does the bosch044 fit into the swirl pot housing?Cheers

    unfortunatly not, but you can get housings for them. or get a mk3 golf filter carrier strp the 44 one side and some kind of swirl pot on the other. my mate Ben did this years back on his rallye 20v, he used the cabrio/rocco/g40 shape polo type pot. best pic i have to hand, unfinished but you get the idea :lol::
