    cheers jim..
I can slow it down yea..

funnily enough I was playing with ramp rates on another car/truck... and torque rose significantly

what sort of 4th gear (6spd box S3 1.8t) runs lengths does your DD do? This one is 11-13 secs region.

with the new k04 hi-flow manifolds starting to appear also, the top end may lift even higher once allowed to flow more.. Seems the case on initial results posted up on vortex by someone running one..
initial losse's but hid to high gains..
    as below

been looking into getting one of these to replace my nearly dead std ko4, plus now my bottom end's been upped to a 2ltr by TSR the std item really cant cope...

emailed CR an TD for prices...

which stage hybrid did you fit to the car? ive been looking at the stage 4...

also just seen on seatcupra.net that JBS have got 311bhp an 340lbft from stage 4 hybrid using stock manifold, these look promising for the money...

    cheers

its CR's k04 hybrid.. hey dont class it as stage 4 - ask for same as they did for badger5

CR's is a lot less for similar if not more power, as CR use a larger turbine wheel, not just a clipped k04 turbine wheel

I think it is the higher flowing one yes with its larger turbine wheel.. which they could clip for more flow again I guees

whats the cost of one of these blowers? i love the way the torque is delivered. if i upgrade my "never to be modded mk4" thats the blower i want

cost wise, ideally keeping OE exhaust, whats the likely cost of manifold, blower, injectors, rods and software?

    update:
    okies.. small update.
Wellys been fitting his 034 mani..
whilst apart he brought the hybrid k04 along so I could port its wastegate as it was creeping under boost.

Pictures below of whats been done and required.
    Std k04/Hybrid wastegate port

    Once ported by me

    Quite some difference :)

Didi you test the hybrid with the 034 manifold?

    How was the EGT?

034 mani has just been fitted.. once the customers injectors have arrived I will see it back on the dyno to finish mapping. not tested it yet. this S3 is early one and does'nt have egt sensor

    Finished wellys finally today.
below is best of its stock k04 vs the hybrid
    [IMG]

    Conclusions:
034 mani is performing well, definately flows more, and runs cooler...
compare before on stock mani it would go yellow hot after one run, and on 034, a dull red glow. If there were egt on his model, they would be lower.

313-314bhp peak, with much greater consistency than I have seen on other non water meth cars on their stock manifolds.
not a leap in top end power like i was kind of hoping for, but to me its the limit of turbos flow at this level. wellys runs no wmi, so some gains likely from the ole meth % contribution.

another comparison across a few hybrids..
    2 of them lcr's, and wellys s3 (largeport/034)
    orange-TD_hybrid, wmi-lcr
    red-USA_hybrid, lcr
    blue-CRhybrid, wellysS3,largeport
