They both need to be Earthed (Grounded) to the same point.

Does the led flash steady when warming up.? The led is used to test status of the unit. When it flashes in a certain way, the manual will tell you what's going on.

That means it not powered up. Or in calibration. Or led isn't wired up. Mau want to check wiring. Lambda sensors get damaged when used not powered up.

i checked the wiring and the lambda probe gets hot on warmup i can go into logworks and program it but it still does the above

i think ill pull it out trim the loom back and rewire just to eliminate the wiring

You may have a blown led. Test with a pencil battery. will be dim, and will only work one way.

    good idea ill try that

still the fact remains that my wideband reads all over the shop in logworks?? could it be a delay setting ? the output to the megasquirt shouldnt effect the logworks as its a direct cable hmm

im pulling it all out shorty then rewireand calibrate again

Where did you bring your cable on the lambda probe through?

Is it ok to briefly start my engine without any filter on it? Or is that too risky. I wont be able to get one today, need to get a new one, cannot find a second hand one anywhere!
