Ive built a few high compression engines for my mk1 using diesel cranks etc. but as ive got a bit lazy i want to go the route of fitting off the shelf high compression pistons.I have a ported abf head and a ported KR head and a spare abf block that can be bored out to suit . I was thinking of boring the block to 83.5 or 84mm and using forged pistons to suit and possibly forged rods. What is the best combo and what forged piston to use as i"ve seen posts where as the pistons are listed as 10,5 but with a different deck height giving a 11.5 compression ratio or compression stated when using a 1mm gasket. I"m looking for about 11.5 or 11.8 compression with a standard 1.65 mls gasket. and all for a good price.

    Thanks
