wheel whores lend me your ears

i have a set of billet 9 image split rimz originally from a SR3, but as my sr8 has big front disks 20mm bigger than SR3, the caliper is just catching the nuts on the inside of the rimz.

Are such things as low clearance bolts available? or is there any reason the nuts couldnt be on the outside?

I can't see why you couldn't put the bolts in the other way round

Probably aesthetics but what do I know! Lol

Image Wheels say bolts can be replaced with domed head socket caps with the nuts on the outside to give extra clearance. 10.9 minimum strength, with locktite. 12-14ftlb.

These are m6 with 35mm thread. Might see if a 30mm might do it with a stainless dome nut to cover the thread up on the outside.

So we will try that then. Thank heavens they are not daft m7 size. Should result in at least 5mm more clearance which fingers crossed might do it.

sorted with domed 10.9 socket cap bolts with head on inside of wheel and nut on outside, with 1mm thick washers. Probably 2-3mm clearance.

K-nuts are bit slimmer. Not sure what size bolts you are using but a m8 nut would use a 10mm socket instead of 13mm.
