Megasquirt Newbie Questions - All the really dumb ones you were afraid to ask!

Sensors, supply and earths can be 1.0mm gauge.
Actuators 1.5mm gauge.
+12 Supply and earth 2.0mm gauge.

Hall, use shielded wire set to reduce noise on pin 24.

Just need to find somewhere to buy a load of wire!! This looks good for bulk purchases.

 

After a massive break I'm back onto the car. Just one question regarding ms2. Its all fitted, but I'm left with a wire thats tagged as trigger 2, I'm guessing it'll have to go to the vr crank sensor ?

 

It's on an ABF right? If so it has a hall sensor.

hi,
I bought an MS2 V3.0 from extraefi and finally got around fitting it.
My car is a mk2 golf with ABF engine.
The problem is that i cannot connect to my MS with tunerstudio, not only
with the usb adapter, but even with the straight DB9 cable.

I've set the baud rate of the com ports to 115200,
tested the serial end of the usb adapter via the miniterminal and it was ok.

I would like to know if there is firmware in my MS and also if there is a base map for the abf using the 60-2 hall sensor and single coil and 215.5 cc/min stock injectors.
