    That should make it nice and driveable with the Webers :thumbup:

    I'm sure Mart will be along shortly and let you know the cost as I can't remember off the top of my head as mine was done a while ago and been to sleep a few times since then lol

    Don't talk to me about money pits.....you seen all the issues I've had to endure this season with the racecar?! Gotta say the x-flow head on open induction makes an awesome sound though [:D] :p

    I spoke to J a few weeks back and he said you'd really given some of the "top" cars a run for their money - that's awesome mate!

    Edd China top tip - When you've gone to the trouble of getting an adapter ring, heating up your old and new dizzy to drive out the pin and swap over the gears make sure you put your dizzy back together with the gear on the right way up a) it'll save you about a hour of frustration and b) it'll actually fit then [:x] calm . . . go to your happy place [:s]

    Also applies to chain verniers on twin cams. If they can be shrunk on back to front, you can be sure it will happen (very recently....)

    Update

    With the inlet manifold now at the front the donor DX Alternator will not fit. The AGG engines had a bracket that sits over the water pump and sits the alternator lower and away from the block. This will therefore require a MK3 alternator, ridged water pump and crank pulley - part nos to follow;

    Bracket 028 903 143 AD this is the non AC bracket
    Alternator - there's loads to choose from I went for a Bosch 75amp
    Crank pulley - 037105243A with vibe damper
    Water pump pulley - 028 121 031 K
    Plus all the fitting bolts / spring!

    Easier if you buy a block / engine for this project with all the ancillaries!!

    You could also use the iron type bracket as fitted to 16v's...9A/KR maybe...got one on a 9A in the workshop now.

    Loving the progress Jason. I think you'll be very happy with the results from the combination of parts you have- mine is a similar spec and it's a hoot to drive!
    That inlet manifold looks a great bit of kit too!

    If you are ever down Bournemouth way and need a bit of a gee-up to get yours done, let me know - we can go for a drive. ;)
