    Hi,
Am having the drive shaft bearings and oil seals replaced on my Mk1 GTi.
The firm that is doing the job will replace other gearbox oil seals as routine.

Will replace the clutch at this time. Makes sense when gearbox is out.

Are there any other items that should be checked and replaced while the gearbox s out?

    Thanks

crank seal might be a plan, make sure input shaft seal, pushrod bush and end seal are all included in your box service at the very least as those are box off job to replace. the rest can be done with the box in no probs

Driveshaft bearings = diff bearings? If so, its a full gearbox strip, so full bearing set (cost 70-80 quid) logical
You will need new circlips for a full strip.
You can do the diff O/P oil seals without removing the box, just take the shafts out
