My Mk1 GTi has the front grille fitted with the four lamps. Am I correct in saying that the inner two are spot lights and not front fog lights. The fog light switch on the dash has two positions. The first does not appear to do anything the second position illuminates the rear fog light. From what I have read the two inner spot lights come on with the headlight main beam. Do I simply wire the spot lights into the main beam circuit ? At the moment they seem to be connected back to the fuse box through yellow wires with white tracers. Any help appreciated. Thank you
it depends! the original grilles had fog lamps fitted, but most retro fitted parts woudl be spot lamps. got any pics/part numbers?
