Looking for advice on MK1 Top Mounts on my track day set up.

My problem is strut mounts do not last more than 2 track day events.

I am currently running lowered springs, Koni Sports and Poly bushings and none racing tires(tyres). My top mounts are reinforced to roll cage ... so very stiff. I do run 2 degrees negative camber if that matters.

Interesting enough, my gravel setup seems to be holding up.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

Seeing as you're in the US have you considered investing in a set of Ground Control top mounts? Or are you class limited?

I use the Compbrake eccentric mounts, set for 5` positive caster with 1.5`camber (hillclimb / sprint car ... as yet untested !)

I found a set of used Branth(so?). Will have to see how they hold up.

what coilovers are any of you running for solid top mounts ive got the gaz gold solid adjustable top mounts, but it raises the car 30mm, if i was too lower the car a further 30mm it will make the car too crashy and wont have sufficent damping to be any good.

do i need custom coilovers or is there a set out there that can accomodate the solid top mounts

    cheers jonny
