Hopefully a simple one, fitting in a mk2 golf, do I just change the mk4 oil pressure switch to a mk2 type one?
Got confused in the wiring guide as says about t pieces, temperature sensor and 2 pressure sensors. But it's not hard to confuse me sometimes.
    Thanks
Oh, and do colours make a difference, it's a 1.6 cl to start with.

for anyone else, you need to use whatever switch set is required to keep your clocks happy. for very early/low spec you may only need 1 0.25/0.3bar oil switch, for most mk1/2/3 you also need a 1.8 bar switch to go with it. the temperature sender is only required if you have GTI MFA clocks and want them to work, again match this to your clocks. mk1/2 golf use the same sender, mk3 golf is different :)

I'll delve into engine bay and check later, not a gti just a cl with not much luxury bits.
If it's just one fitted, I'll order a new one to match the mk2 one.
Following your conversion guide for wiring RJ, really good when got everything in front of you, just got to get a mk2 loom to butcher next, but its 250 miles away at the moment, still in a car. Something to look forward to when things settle again though.
    Thanks

1.6 will usually be 2 switches, no oil temp as its poverty spec :p

Got home and had a look, seems just one on ours, 1.6cl 1987 golf, and it's a white one if makes any difference, know old mini temp sensors had different values for different colours.
