    Thanks everyone :thumbup:

    No news yet. The police say it hasn't been spotted by any ANPR cameras and the CCTV has drawn a blank also. All I can do is wait!

    Still no news :cry:

    I don't really want to think like this, but I have to cover all bases just in case... The car was fitted with blue '16v' Recaros on scirocco subframes (genuine Recaro items) and a matching rear bench without headrests. As these are fairly rare I thought i'd mention it in case a set turns up somewhere.

    Drivers seat has a cig burn in between where the drivers legs would be and passenger seat has a burn between the lower cushion and door side bolster.

    I hate to admit this, on here of all places, but the car didn't have any security. It was on my 'to do' list, but I stupidly chose to do other maintenance first. That fact has also invalidated my insurance (theft not covered until I fitted an immobiliser)! I won't be making that mistake again!

    Mileage was 180,250.

    I've just had the best news ever... My car has been found!

    I received a message on this site saying it had been spotted in Aldershot and police had been called (thanks again Lee:thumbup:). So, lift arranged, I set off to find it. I got there 10 minutes before the police, who still haven't actually contacted me to say it's been found lol

    As far as I could see in the dark, the damage is fairly minimal;
    - Front wheels knackered from running on flats/rims
    - Front bumper bent but not broken
    - Wheel arch trim pulled away from wing on passenger side
    - Drivers door handle missing
    - Boot handle missing and lock broken
    - Ignition & wiring damage

    Other than that, it looks pretty straight. It even has my toolbox in it still. From the police enquiries it seems it has been there for a while, so probably just a joyride.

    It has gone off for forensic examination, then I can have it back [:D]
