So I plan on putting heated seats into my mk2 next year once I get it back to England. I already have the duel heated seat switch for the dash with the plug and a bit of pigtail too. Does anyone have a wire diagram for how the heated seats should be wired in correctly? I'd like to make it as factory as possible.

Thanks RJ. It appears that the switch I have is for ce2 as the wire colors don’t match

What you have there is a MK3 golf wire tail, they are slightly different wire colour and pinout on the switch.

Just had a look at the mk2 diagram, I dont remember it being that poor when I last checked it you cant see anything  I've got the corrado version on there 'corheatedseats.pdf', it'll do you fine for making the main loom as wire colours/order is correct for mk2 golf just use the ce1 diagram for the fusebox pinout :)

Ah, ok. Well I think I can still make it work with the diagram you posted. I have plenty of time to make it.

yeah is fine. normally easier to source a complete mk3 heated seat loom set with the under seat mounted relays then all you do is switch a couple pins on the plug to make it work on a mk2 switch

I guess I should start looking for mk3 heated seat loom, that way I can get it all ready for when I’m reunited with my mk2 next year

ebay.de is a good source for cheap looms, if you can get one complete it will save you a lot of effort anyway

Ok, so I now have a set of ed30 heated seats. What would be the easiest way of wiring these in? I was thinking of getting a mk5 seat loom and just using the mk2 switch to control the heat. Is this gonna be possible or would a mk3 loom be better?

I've fitted tt heated in my mk2, made a loom using mk4 switches, fitted into the centre console with a slight trim to enlarge the hole.
Kufatec do a mk3 loom I believe, but it's quite simple if you have the plugs.

I like the but as I have the mk2 switch already, ideally I’d like to use it

Do you have the relay etc under seats?
You could modify a mk3 loom if switch is same?
Think it's either 2 switches or one double on the mk2?

So far all I have is the double heated seat switch and a pig tail for the switch. I was thinking I could get a pig tail for the mk5 seats and a mk3 loom and splice them together.

What seats you got or planning @afbiker02 ?
    Or is it mk5 seats?
If so are they climatronic or a switch like mk4?

Mk5 ed30 seats. I’m not sure which switch they are like. That’s why I was thinking of getting a mk5 pigtail to splice into the mk3 loom

I’ve order the loom Dodgy recommended so now I just wait for it to get here. I’m thinking now I can get mk5 heated seat loom pigtails and then repinning the mk5 plug with the mk3 loom

Need to rig some relays in the mix, like the mk2/3 has too, should be easy to follow one of rjs diagrams, and think he said swap couple pins for switch plug.
