it'll either last till I can fix it proper or I'll have to be crushed into a small cube once all the good bits have been taken out. be a shame to get id but at the end of the day its nowt special just a proper poverty spec gti 8v with a massive pile of stuff thrown on top

Been carrying on with bodywork, lots of time and patience which I lack to be honest. Drivers side ready for more epoxy primer then 2k filler primer. I cannot believe how many small dents impressions in the metal I've found, hopefully filler primer will help level it all out.

Here's some pics, sorry nothing really exciting.

Some more bits and bobs done over the last few weeks. Sorted the rear panel out after my balls up removing the center badge and warping it slightly.

Ended up skimming the whole panel, was just a light skim.

    Block sanded.

    Epoxy and 2k filler primed.

    Guide coated Again.

Flatted again with large sanding blocks, center still wasn't quite right so more filler added.

Epoxy primed and given first coats of paint.

Lovely work mate! really impressed. I'm currently going through paint process, my first time with a proper gun. I opted to 1k base and clear. Did you use 2k - no clear?

    cheers :)

Thanks mate appreciate the comments. I've used 2k direct gloss but might basecoat and clear coat it as I'm not happy with the finish. I'm sure 1k will do just a good a job might just need more coats.
