    Hi All,

I'm sure at some point you will have come across a thread asking for these parts.

I've been searching years for a pristine set of rubbers and it gets harder and harder, tried the china route and also a company in the US who have redeveloped just the rubber seal section which bonds onto the moulding.

Got to a point where I can develop these (just the replacement seals not the moulding), before I'd take it to production I wanted to get some feedback here to get some general interest to see if this is really worth it and would all you mk2 golf and jetta family be interested?

Mine are currently falling apart and interested to develop this obsolete part not only for myself but others as well.

    I appreciate your feedback.
    Thanks

    Nick

    Thanks for the positive responses.

I'm in talks with a company who can create the tooling but it's proper expensive so I'd need to do a larger production run to make it worth it.

I have specified it needs to be durable and UV resistant as they are weather strips, of course I'll aim for as OEM as possible.

Mine is a 3 door so I have the measurements, can someone provide me the length required on the 5 doors and maybe some close up images of the door jam at the roof line, especially where the front and rear doors meet, and the length of the smaller seal once it's passed the door seal.

So this isn't going to be a quick project as I want it spot on.

I shall feedback with progression in the coming weeks.

main thing is that it has proper felt coating, as most if not all the aftermarket seals are plain so not 100% correct
