front brakes done had the brother in law make me some 6mm thick spacers [IMG] then was look at the scuttle that's rotten.[IMG] so going to get rid of it first cut the brace away[IMG] and made a new bracing point [IMG] then on to the mk2/3 hydraulic clutch [IMG] [IMG] braced in place to make sure it will work.[IMG] [IMG] Well works off the car. will fit to morrow and find out.
brake lines came so fitted them.

not much but had a couple of days at it. Had three holes in the roof where the gutter sits cut them out and welded new in.[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] then had a look at the boot [:s][IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] yep rust..
so left the and done the scuttle and engine bay.[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] also sent the block off to be bored and light resurface.

Like wise Tristan. Cars not getting ride of me that easily . You just forget how much work takes over your life. I Hope to have it on its wheels today to start the bodywork. Did a bit yesterday and seems there is light rust spots underneath the paint so think I am going to take it back to bare metal.

It's amazing how much it creeps under healthy looking paint.
I recently painted the RallyKa, and ended up bare metalling loads of it to get out the rust, even though it looked fine before I started.
