Vinnie are you on Furlough or something as you are getting so much done
Nope just a bit of time off back to work Monday.
Vinnie went to Warp Factor 8....
front brakes done had the brother in law make me some 6mm thick spacers then was look at the scuttle that's rotten. so going to get rid of it first cut the brace away and made a new bracing point then on to the mk2/3 hydraulic clutch braced in place to make sure it will work. Well works off the car. will fit to morrow and find out.
brake lines came so fitted them.
Tell me more about front brakes please Vinnie.
312mm Audi TT disks
Mk1 tt callipers off a 3.2
And 6mm thick spacers for the callipers and longer bolts
Awesome stopping power for a mk2.
16 inch wheels at minimum I presume?
yep and yep theses are the ones I'm thinking about they have started to make them again.
not much today was at work. but i have done the clutch. made a brace to help. then
just need to clean the welds up now.
This is what I like to see
Witch one. Working or progress
No witches just stuff being made
not much but had a couple of days at it. Had three holes in the roof where the gutter sits cut them out and welded new in. then had a look at the boot yep rust..
so left the and done the scuttle and engine bay. also sent the block off to be bored and light resurface.
Good to hear from you again Vinnie.
Like wise Tristan. Cars not getting ride of me that easily . You just forget how much work takes over your life. I Hope to have it on its wheels today to start the bodywork. Did a bit yesterday and seems there is light rust spots underneath the paint so think I am going to take it back to bare metal.
It's amazing how much it creeps under healthy looking paint.
I recently painted the RallyKa, and ended up bare metalling loads of it to get out the rust, even though it looked fine before I started.
Sick project. Keep the updates coming
No messing around by Vincenzo - top notch as always.
