    Cheers, I'll be spraying it.

Did you test it for toughness after it cured?

That made the front cover of street machine magazine back in the 90s when they launched the car, a factory hot rod, was how they described it.

i've found some replacement recaro bolsters, so ordered 4 new ones... 3 of mine are ok, but sod it, if you are going to refurbish something, do it right. I can sell the old ones on.

I am thinking about givign the trim a go myself... i have the old materal for a pattern, so why not eh! Learn something new. i might need to get a replacement back foam for the drivers side though.. but i'll start with the bases and go from there.

Wings should be going back on in the next day or so, just awaiting some new stainless screw/bolts for them.

The loom for the altitude sensor has been extended and thats now mounted on the inner wing out of sight..basically on the horn bracket.

The loom for the ignition amplifier has also been extended so that it can be out of the way in a better location for air flow / out of sight.

I'll be interested to see your retrim. I was to find some Recaro's and retrim them in my standard stuff.

Years ago I did a set of cobra recliners, used the original material as a pattern, wasnt too bad to be honest, bit hard going on the fingers though.
Purple inners and pink outers, was for the girlfriend's mini that was bmw lilac and Porsche pink roof and revolution 4 spokes.
Try it, what's the worst, you end up getting someone to cover them.

did a bit of weight saving tonight

The cut up i did actually fits pretty well... i'll make a new version of it to replace the floor with something solid. If i can bolt it down too, then the battery can be secured to it.. thats a temporary battery for now, will need something lighter when i'm ready to make a final decision

Thought I recognised that neat heat shink + braided tubing wire management from somewhere else

Looking good as always and I'm also interested to see the trimming, seems to be one of those that a lot of people see a black art in a way.

That's a fair speaker too, easy rear window removal when you turn it up

Yes!! Winning! I'd say it's a good feeling to get it back out of the garage.

Looks nice outside in the southwest sunshine, well done. The stainless bolts are a nice touch and good idea, used them on the green one when put the new wings on.

So i put the front bumper back on last night and the wing plastics are in place but not secured.

The front bumper mouting is a bloody pain in the arse if you don't have the car jacked up.

Tonights job is to secure the wing plastics in place and then thatts the front end done
