Servo mechanism and full touchscreen control:lol:
Just been refitting my heater, cables enter bottom so should be able to lower the fascia, or try a panel from a polo 9n or something, they are low and I think still cable. Was a few years since took boys apart.

I think a tablet or touchscreen looks so out out of place in a mk2.

This is what I thought, and do think BUT the convenience of having car play is a total game changer. Especially as one of its maiden voyages will be a trip to the ring.

I put a Bluetooth unit into my mk2 that I could stream the phone to and play through my period correct stereo, and in Ronan's car I did similar, bar wired it through a small amp to the speakers as he has no Headunit.
Functions as a hands free for phone calls too.
And best of all its all hidden away.

can move the heater no problem, theres only the 2 live and earth wires from the fusebox wiring to the heater blower wiring connected with spade plugs so dead simple to add in an extendy bit if need be

on the flip side could just make up a phone/tablet holder to hold it up high when you need it, and remove it all when you dont

Since having a snazzy head unit in the Mk5, I’ve come to hate having stuff on the windscreen.
I’m going to do some investigation into locations I think

How did you not make a mess on the brick pavers? I've managed to get oil, brake fluid and petrol on mine today.

Well it looks like end of summer now may become end of the year :(

Work have asked me to do another 7 weeks in Japan, so I’ll be out there for a total of 12 weeks in 4 months.

Could bring back some Cox tuning parts, or a complete 420si.
Think of it as a guideline date, not a cut off.
