    Hi all
1st post here so be kind lol

    I have a 89 H plate Jetta which was once a 1.8 4 speed and then was converted to a 1.9t 90bhp ahu from a vento.
I’ve just bought a completed Audi TT 225 to use the engine.

I’ve been told that because I already have a mk3 engine fitted it’s quite a simple swap?

I want re use the tdi gearbox and clutch set up?
Apparently the mounts will fit straight in?

I know I need a vr6 tank and fuel pump( does this fit the Jetta?)

    Anything else I’ll missing?

    Many thanks

Not sure about the tank, but you could always just fit an aftermarket uprated fuel pump .

As far as I’m aware tanks are pretty universal

assuming its full swap with 02a gearbox then yep drop the 20v in, use the mk4 02j box or mk3 02a, swap flywheel over to 20v with new vr6 clutch or keep your old clutch if it looks good, custom downpipe from the various suppliers.

any mk3 petrol model tank, lines and filter carrier will do you and all swap right over, take the rear loom off the donor too split the 4 wires from pump to fusebox out. just the fuel pump is special, the gti, 16v and post-96 vr6 use a 3 bar pump rated at 80l/hr, the pre-96 vr6 and some g60 have the 4 bar pump @ 80l/hr

for wiring use my thread here:
