Am taking some time out this year to decide what to do with the car,
as it's now showing it's age in areas, and I know where they are

So I need to decide if I want to spend some more money on the car, or
to sell it, or even break it for parts[:^(] I need to look at the coinage
and see if I think it's worth spending the money on it.....

I'll still be at the shows, but as bystander this year in one of the dailies

Ha ha ha yeah mint trophy and done big bumper, still doing small at the mo

 

Right quick updated, had a year out from the polishing and just kicked back and enjoyed the few shows I went, am know cracking on with the repairs and tarting up of the show queen ready for next year hahahaha

First repair....

Was some small rust around the fuel cap so had a look at the damage


was quite worried about the rust so out came the small cutting disk


and my worry became a nightmare


with the help of my trusted friend we welded up the hole


the new petrol flap is in and ready for paint now


Note the difference, that's all I'm saying

Next repair will be started in 2 weeks and will get pictures

 

Doesnt look like a MK2 shape to me...

it's not, but same size and almost same shape, from a newer VW

 

do u need more grinding discs yet

 

Need to do the same repair to my golf, I'm dreading what I'll find though!
