    Hi Guys,

My AGG is in a VW T25 Transporter and I recently fitted an accelerator cable.

When adjusting the cable I assumed all the slack from the wheel should be taken up, i.e. with the pedal completely up I tightened the cable so that the 10 degrees or so of what looked like free play in the accelerator wheel was taken up allowing it to rest immediately before the stainless arm part:

    (Not mine!)

I then performed the throttle valve pair on VAGCOM and could see it kind of moving slightly.

Should I have the cable adjusted so that the throttle wheel is fully at rest, or is it OK to take the few degrees of slack up to the stainless arm?

    Thanks

the correct way to adjust throttle is when your foot is flat to the floor the throttle is just wide open
