Mk4 8v 2002 gti rear pad change

    Morning all.
    I know I'm probably in for some grief on this but,time to fit new pads on the back only thing is as the rears have a screw in piston,are they normally ok to screw in? (Got to buy caliper tool yet) reason I ask is only got the rubbish jack that's with the car,Not done rear pads on the car before not sure if I'm saving much money after buying the caliper tool and pads over getting a garage to do it.

    with a decent wind back tool you'll have no problems :)

    Thank you for the reply,got to do 1 side then turn the car round,the joys of not having a drive to work on the car.

    yeah its no fun working on the road, my last place the garage was round the corner in block too so I didnt get much done. New house has a drive but most of the garage is now a playroom, and I have 2 kids so I still dont get much done :lol:
