Sorry if this question has already been posted, I couldn't find it in the search... I just carried out a service on my 2010 Mk6 golf 1.6 blue motion. It's on 167k and generally does 10k a year now. 6.5 litres of oil came out, and it smelt quite diesely... Should only take 4.3 litres... Engine management light comes on every 4-5 months with 'particulate filter'. So give our a long drive at the correct revs to clear. Otherwise no other issues. Any ideas or common faults?
Diesel can end up in the oil from frequent dpf regens, its a lot 2l of fuel. Check level this service to be sure, this is something to look into, bearings dont like anything other than oil. 10k/year for dpf diesel is on the low side.
