    Thanks mate!!

    The bottletops do look good. They were only for the car to sit on for the meanwhile but im starting to like the look of them on there now...

    I was thinking of buying a set of small bumpers for it. I wish i had kept the original ones now :thumbup:

    I'll go see the guys tomorrow or something, they're in the middle of a VR swap so they've been out there for days now.

    I haven't done much to the MK2 in last couple of months, but thought i'd get started on it again. :thumbup:

    Ive bought a few things over the past week.

    * GEAR SHIFT RELAY LEVER C562
    * GEAR SELECTOR RODS KIT
    * SMOKED CRYSTAL INDICATORS
    * POLISHED POWER ROHR AIR INTAKE PIPE
    * K&N OIL FILTER
    * FRONT TWIN GTi GRILL WITH RED LINE

    Decided to fit the grill.
    But while cleaning the grill, i noticed i had bought a 7slat early type grill!
    [IMG]

    Just won a 90 spec one on ebay, which looks brand new...

    [IMG]

    And a rear 8v badge

    [IMG]

    I also fitted the polished intake, injectors (which i cleaned up), the ISV and the oil beather (flying saucer shaped thing).

    Before...

    After...

    [IMG]

    Not much left to do now really. I still need to re-fit the driveshafts, plum in both of the fuel pumps and fuel line, and fit the washer bottle & expansion tank...

    Got two new front wings on the way too...

    Cant wait to get it back on the road. I really do miss driving the MK2.

    Cheers mate...

    Na there is no way i can get it roadworthy by x-mas...

    I need to polybush the whole car yet - wishbones/subframes ect... (will be fun lol, remember watching you and lizzard doing yours), fix the captive nut, fit some coilovers and make sure everything is tip top for the MOT :thumbup:

    Will be good to see yours on the road. :thumbup:

    just any normal poly's. We got ours from rallye design and they have normal poly's and then race one's that said not recommended for the road - I really underestimated what effect the bushes have on the ride. Every small bump sounds like the subframe is about to fall out. Its brutal!!

    Sounds good lol...

    Will go for the normal ones then.

    Ive been in my friends Mk2 which was polybushed, and it is a rock hard ride.
    But seems to handle better with a good suspension setup :thumbup:

    Just a quick little update...

    Managed to sort out the electrical gremlins i had, thanks to Rubjonny :thumbup:
    Turned out that an earth had become disconnected behind the fusebox, and another was in the wrong place, which Rubjonny did say to check...
    Glad thats done, but now i have another problem. The brake light seems to be jammed on constantly. But when the brake pedal is pressed, it goes off - like its the opposite way around?
    Will hopefully be a switch or something silly...

    Anyway, i went out this morning and bought a set of BBS RA's, (thanks to Shaz@Clubgti for sorting them out for me from his mate) which ive been in search of for many months. Only two of them have tyres, so will need to get them soon.
    They need a real good clean up to...
    Heres a few pics -

    ^^^ This one could do with a refurb though tbh. Just gone a little funny around the edges.

    Anyone recommend a good wheel refurber...

    Cant wait to get them on the MK2 :thumbup:
